Rob Neil presented a great presentation on how the city works with the E-911 center to provide high quality emergency response.  A tour of the 911 center was also on the list as was a great pizza lunch.

MUS presentation on automatic meter reading and future peak power saving technologies.  Also PC Mall sponsored the meeting and spoke about how they can help our companies with purchasing..

AT&T mobility presented and offered a great deal of useful information in regards to using cellular services in the workplace.  It was very informative and many agreed it was the best presentation in some time.

Tuff Torq hosted our meeting and their plant and explained what products they made and how their company has benefited over the last few years because of the IT department taking advantage of current technologies.  Brandon and Tim Anito from AT&T did a great job providing discussions on Internet security. We had 26 attendees 2 guests.

February 19, 2009 Meeting Info

Our February meeting was attended by 14 people, two of which were guests.   We have two speakers and some great discussion.  Click below to read the meeting minutes.

January 16, 2009 Meeting Info

Nominations and elections were held.  We had over 20 present with 19 members voting.  Mike Fawbush ran unopposed for President as did Rusty Easter for Vice-President.  Both received unanimous approval from the members.  Pat Waggoner was elected as Treasurer who was challenged by Etsuko Yoshizawa  The vote count was 11 to 8.  Joe Sargent was elected as Secretary who was challenged by Jason Caudill .  This vote count was also 11 to 8.

December 18, 2009 Meeting Info

Elections were postponed due to the announcement that the current President and Vice-President wished to allow other members to serve in these roles.  The members decided to redo nominations and move the election to the January meeting. Other general LITA business was discussed during this meeting.

November 20, 2009 Meeting Info

Mark Weston from Dell was our special speaker. He presented to our community the great things coming forward in technology and how mobile computing will become more prevalent.  We had great turn out with local leaders attending this meeting.

August 21st Meeting Info

Steve Buttry from Connected Tennessee presented to the group.  We had an 18 members present and LITA provided a BBQ lunch.  There was a great dialogue afterwards discussing possible ways to move our agenda throughout the community and some possible community service projects were discussed.

March 20th Meeting Info

• Held at Golden Corral with 8 in attendance.  Discussed and finalized plans for Summit 2008

February 21st. Meeting Info

• Hosted by JTEKT
• Sponsored by Integracon
• Integracon provided lunch for all the attendees and then provided a presentation on VMWARE and how Vista is being applied in the workplace.  LITA business discussed was related to the Summit 2008 details.  A special Summit planning session was scheduled for February 28th for interested members.  The meeting was adjourned following a period of questions and answers with the Integracon presenter.  There were 20 members present for the meeting.

• EMC provided lunch for all the attendees and then provided a presentation on EMC storage solutions and touched on VMWARE.  LITA business was discussed in regards to future meetings, Summit 2008 planning, and the need to identify future meeting locations.  There were 18 members present for the meeting.
